The Solar Home Energy System

Solar energy panels

On average a Solar Home Energy system can provide up to 60% of your hot water needs every year, FOR FREE!

Solar Energy works in all weather

Our solar collectors, also known as Compound Parabolic Collectors (CPC),  use curved mirrors to focus the natural daylight on a receiver tube (encased in an evacuated tube) running through the focal point of the mirrors and can heat their transfer fluid to as much as 570°F (299°C).

This enables the collectors to achieve the highest possible yields by taking advantage of even the weakest light beams. The collectors are specifically designed to operate not just with direct sunlight, but also indirect solar radiation, this is so that they work effectively in mild climates such as our own.

The Evacuated Tubes are made up of rows of parallel, transparent glass tubes. Each tube consists of a glass outer tube and an inner tube, or absorber, covered with a selective coating that absorbs solar energy.

Our Solar Evacuuated tubes
The air is withdrawn (evacuated) from the space between the tubes to form a vacuum, which eliminates conductive and convective heat loss. The vacuum also helps them achieve extremely high temperatures. To view how our Solar Home Energy system works with your boiler we have an ‘in a nutshell’ explanation on our website. New Generation Solar Collectors such as ours are:
High performance on a small scale. Highly aesthetic. Durable modular design which can be adapted to fit the available roof space. Corrosion proof and easily recyclable!

Saving Money with Solar Home Energy

Along with the government, Solar Home Energy is looking to make solar a major
source of home energy in the UK.

We are therefore offering up to a 25% SUBSIDY for a limited number of suitable properties, in selected areas, to assist in the promotion of this highly effective Solar Home Energy system.

We are also able to save you 12.5% Government supported discount on the VAT

In return for helping us demonstrate the savings that the Solar Home Energy system achieves, we will not only be offering you a substantial subsidy but also the opportunity to claim a Full Refund.
Solar Home Energy Reward Scheme

At Solar Home Energy, we are certain you will be delighted with your Solar Home Energy system resulting in numerous recommendations.

To reward you for this, Solar Home Energy will pay you £25 per appointment resulting from your recommendations, PLUS a further £225 per installation.(terms & conditions apply)

Welcome to Solar Home Energy’s first Blog

January 10, 2008

Welcome to the first Solar Home Energy WordPress blog.
To give you a bit of an insight into what were all about , the Solar Home Energy’s mission is to make the best in solar home energy technology available in the UK at affordable prices . In the face of spiralling fossil fuel bills, we believe that this will both help safeguard the future of our planet and help our customers reduce their home energy costs.

We are proud to say that thousands of people are already cutting their Carbon Footprint with our solar energy evacuated tubes. Throughout the UK our Solar Home Energy systems are already saving over 1000 tonnes of harmful carbon emissions a year.

The production and use of energy causes 83 per cent of overall UK greenhouse gas emissions, and 90 per cent of carbon dioxide emissions.

A solar hot water system on a typical house saves in the region of 400kgms, or half a tonne, of CO2 emissions a year.

If every house of the 20 million houses in the UK had a solar hot water system, then we would save around 8,000,000 tonnes of CO2 a year from the UK.

At the 2005 G8 Summit, reports indicated that UK emissions had actually gone up by 8%. Therfore government building regulations aim to reduce CO2 emissions by around 2,800,000 tonnes… and this will affect everyone.

Mankind has the greatest challenge of its life as the very processes that created our civilisation are changing our planet’s atmospheric gas balance.

We really want to help make a difference, help our future generations.
