On average a Solar Home Energy system can provide up to 60% of your hot water needs every year, FOR FREE!
Our solar collectors, also known as Compound Parabolic Collectors (CPC), use curved mirrors to focus the natural daylight on a receiver tube (encased in an evacuated tube) running through the focal point of the mirrors and can heat their transfer fluid to as much as 570°F (299°C).
This enables the collectors to achieve the highest possible yields by taking advantage of even the weakest light beams. The collectors are specifically designed to operate not just with direct sunlight, but also indirect solar radiation, this is so that they work effectively in mild climates such as our own.
The Evacuated Tubes are made up of rows of parallel, transparent glass tubes. Each tube consists of a glass outer tube and an inner tube, or absorber, covered with a selective coating that absorbs solar energy.
The air is withdrawn (evacuated) from the space between the tubes to form a vacuum, which eliminates conductive and convective heat loss. The vacuum also helps them achieve extremely high temperatures. To view how our Solar Home Energy system works with your boiler we have an ‘in a nutshell’ explanation on our website. New Generation Solar Collectors such as ours are:
High performance on a small scale. Highly aesthetic. Durable modular design which can be adapted to fit the available roof space. Corrosion proof and easily recyclable!
